Award in Healthcare Management

The achievement of the Diploma of the specialization course will allow the student to work as a manager/coordinator of health services, personal care services and in retirement home for the elderly, cooperative social enterprises and ONG.

This course aims to train the coordinator of social assistance and health services through Middle Management skills for RSA managers and coordinators, Care services, Social Assistance Services.
Healthcare Manager is a profession increasingly required by the world of work and is placed between the General Manager and the most operational figures (oss, therapists, nurses).
The coordinator dedicates particular attention to the life of the Department, to the coordination of human resources, to relationships with the patient’s family.
The course will focus on the skills of organization, management, coordination, cost control, management.

The Award in Healthcare Management, Level 7, Mode of Study: Full-time, Duration: 4 months, credits: 16, Language: Italian-English, issued by UCM United Campus of Malta HEI Foundation, is under accreditation by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education and is based on the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF).
The Malta Qualifications Framework is mapped against:
– the European Qualification Framework ;
– the Qualifications Frameworks in the European Higher Education Area (QF/EHEA) ;
– the Transnational Qualifications Framework (TQF) .

The participants in this course will work on building a business plan for RSA structures, work protocols, develop s.w.o.t. analysis, know the relevant legislation, make internal inspections and audits.

Participants will also be able to do cost analysis, start a marketing plan, manage human resources, both in the legislative and organizational and union aspects.
