The Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship (BBA) will enable students to: become an advisor for international business companies; obtain ‘hands-on’ experience in entrepreneurship; experience the implementation of projects from start to finish as a team member as well as a project manager in an international context; understand and devise innovative solutions to business problems; develop skills such as leadership, team management and communication planning.
The BBA in Entrepreneurship, developed with the support of Finnish Tiimiakatemia JAMK University of Applied Sciences, is a unique Bachelor of Business Administration. It is structured into three years, plus one semester for working on the thesis and it is based on a ‘learning by doing’ approach. Students are not considered pupils but entrepreneurs, creating their own real company and learning how to lead it. At the beginning of the study process, a learning contract is drawn up between the students, the team enterprises and their coach. Then the multicultural, self-managed teams will work on its start-up in an innovative English-speaking environment.
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship (MFQ: Level 6, Mode of Study: full time, Duration: 3,5 years, ECTS: 240, Language: English) is issued by UCM United Campus of Malta HEI Foundation, and accredited by the National Commission for Malta Further & Higher Education Authority in Malta and is based on the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF)1.
The Malta Qualifications Framework is mapped against:
– the European Qualification Framework (EQF);
– the Qualifications Frameworks in the European Higher Education Area (QF/EHEA);
– the Transnational Qualifications Framework (TQF).
The UCM graduate in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship who wanted to work in Italy will also have the faculty of:
a) requesting the academic recognition of the qualification (obtaining the corresponding Italian qualification) from an Italian University of preference (pursuant to art. 2, Law 148/2002 of the Italian Law).
b) -requesting non-academic recognition in Italy for access to public competitions from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department of Public Administration – P.P.A. Office (pursuant to Art. 38 of Legislative Decree 165/2001 and Art. 2 of Presidential Decree 189/2009 of the Italian regulatory framework).
The BBA in Entrepreneurship – developed with the support of Tiimiakatemia JAMK University of Applied Sciences – is structured into three years plus one additional semester for the thesis.
Students are budding entrepreneurs, creating their own real companies and learning how to lead them.
The programme will provide students with the global mindset and the soft-skills required by international employers. The proximity with the business community will give students an understanding of the different business management practices opened up for them more career opportunities once graduated. The graduates can in fact be also more appealing to international companies interested in business development on a global scale.
