Manuela Di Martino
President of the Board of DirectorsRead More
Manuela Sotgiu – Di Martino is President of UCM United Campus of Malta. Furthermore, she is President of Ludes Lugano Campus and has been President of L.U.de.S. since 2009, when she took on the challenging cultural and moral heritage of her husband, the founder of the institution. “For me, the deep managerial and spiritual heritage that I have taken from my husband, founder of L. U. de. S., constitutes the guiding star and the ultimate reference point of every project. In this regard, I daily urge every “citizen” of L.U.de.S community to realize, in personal and community life, the informing spirit of Professor Paolo Sotgiu: the interdisciplinary vision of knowledge, the radical openness to the other and to every difference, the recognition, at least on a dialectical level, of realities that go beyond what is measurable. Following the above-mentioned footsteps, I decided to create a stronghold of knowledge, expressive of professional figures with a high human and scientific value, able to compete in the labour market thanks to a cultural and professional background that is organic, competitive and respectful of otherness. The inescapable task of the L. U. de. S. community will always be a continuous care and constant growth, as to provide our students with opportunities, skills, advanced, updated and organic knowledge and to give true substance to their life in the world.
